- I am primarily a self-taught individual in the art of sculpting, painting, and drawing. Born in Manhatten,
- New York, and raised on Long Island, I had spent a good deal of my childhood in my room with either a
- sketchbook in hand ornworking on a scratch-built model in front of me. I've always been interested in
- drawing or making anything and paying close attentin to detail make my models more realistic.
-
- My interest in making figures began when I was in the Navy, first by carving them out of wood. Some
- years later, I was introduced to Super Sculpy and plasticine clay which opened up new possibilities in
- rendering a figure. Mostly I've been working on cartoon characters and mythological creatures, but I also
- can render a realistic animal or human. I also have an interest in two-dimensional art rendered either in
- oil, acrylic, pen and ink, or pencil.
-
- After taking college courses (receiving an Associate in Arts degree from Southwestern College, Chula
- Vista) and studying reference books on anatomy, both human and animal, I developed my skills to
- perfection and am now ready and confident to utilize my skills in an environment where they are best
- suited.
-
- My art has been shown several times at the San Diego Comic Convention (the world's largest), at the
- Confurence art show, and at the Del Mar Fair-Art. Some of my art has been published in YARF!, and
- some in convention program books. My clients include art collectors, actors, publishers, and other artists.
